The foundation supports projects in the fields of art and youth that create sustainable social and cultural impact.
The Max Kohler Stiftung supports projects in Switzerland that use the arts as a transformational force and are distinguished by high quality, professionalism and long-term impact. The Foundation primarily works with established partner organisations and currently only accepts applications from organisations that have previously received funding.
Eligibility
- Only organisations that have previously received funding from the Max Kohler Stiftung are eligible to apply.
- Applications are accepted in German or English.
- Initial enquiries must be submitted via the Foundation’s online application tool.
- Applications by e-mail are not accepted.
Funding
The Foundation supports projects in the fields of culture and youth. Funding decisions are made according to the Foundation’s funding criteria.
Applications of up to CHF 10’000.– are decided on an ongoing basis by the Foundation’s Executive Board and Management.
Applications of CHF 10’000.– and above are submitted to the Foundation Board for decision.
Application process
The application procedure is two-stage.
- Before submitting an application, organisations should review the Foundation’s funding criteria.
- Eligible organisations submit an initial enquiry via the online application tool.
- If the project passes the initial review, applicants are invited to submit a full application through the same online tool.
- Applications may include discussions, site visits or consultations with external experts. Applicants should therefore allow several months for the review process.
