The Hasler Foundation mainly supports educational, research and innovation projects where the aim is to promote the further development of information and communications technology (ICT)
The Open Support facility of the Hasler Foundation is intended to complement the public funding instruments in cases where they cannot be accessed, be it for formal or material reasons.
Under the heading of “Open Support”, universities and non-commercial organisations can make applications for projects which do not fall within the scope of a support programme, and which demonstrably are not eligible for support from the Swiss National Fund (SNF) or the Swiss Innovation Agency (Innosuisse).
Support for Research
Cutting-edge scientific or technical research projects at universities or non-commercial research organisations will be supported in relation to their potential value to Switzerland as a centre for science and industry.
Projects whose funding request does not exceed CHF 50,000 and which
- serve to prepare for an SNF or Innosuisse application, or
- supplement a completed SNF or Innosuisse project, or
- are a stand-alone small project without a preceding and successor project,
are subject to the simplified application process.
Application process
Proposals for small projects can be written in English or in German. For their submission the official form of the Hasler Foundation is mandatory. No deadlines apply to the submission of applications that are for small projects. The Hasler Foundation will in general reach a decision on small projects within 30 days.
